Bayshore Marathon

Join us for the 31st Annual Traverse City Track Club Bayshore Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K to be held on Saturday May 25, 2013. The Half Marathon is currently full. There are still spots open in the Marathon and 10k. Once we fill a race we will not reopen registration. We do not have waiting lists for any of our races.
Bayshore is a flat, out and back course that runs along the shores of Grand Traverse Bay. Throughout the race, you have the crystal blue waters of Lake Michigan on one side and Traverse City’s famous cherry trees and orchards on the other. On your return trip, you step onto a track for the final quarter mile inside the stadium.
Miles For Mia Michigan
My granddaughter, Mia Jeanette Walts, died on October 29, 2011 from a genetic disease called Niemann-Pick Disease Type A. Mia was just 2 ½ years old. It was heartbreaking to see our little angel slowly decline over the course of about 2 years. In honor of her life, the 2nd Annual Miles for Mia 5K run/walk will be held throughout the neighborhoods of Oak Pointe in Brighton, Michigan. The run/walk will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. The proceeds from this event will go directly to the Genetic Disease Foundation that is closely connected to Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York.
Ann Arbor Marathon
All courses start on Main Street at the NW corner of the Big House running through downtown Ann Arbor with a finish on the 50 yard line of Elbel Field. The courses will showcase many of the most beautiful and memorable areas of the UM campus and the city of Ann Arbor, as well as the stunning views along the Huron River. The Ann Arbor Marathon will raise much needed funding for the Ann Arbor Public Schools Educational Foundation!
Glen Arbor Solstice
Join us for a scenic half marathon and a 5k run/walk race in Glen Arbor, MI. The half marathon will take runners around Big Glen Lake in a clockwise loop, starting and finishing in downtown Glen Arbor. Runners ascend Inspiration Point on the south side of Big Glen Lake where they will experience one of the most spectacular views of Leelanau County. The 5k course is flat and fast, and will take runners and walkers through tree-lined roads on the edge of downtown Glen Arbor.
Scleroderma
Run through historical Huntington Woods which encompasses some of the finest examples of architecture and design in the metro Detroit area. World famous architects such as Eero Sarrinen (St. Louis' Gateway Arch), Minoru Yamasaki (World Trade Center), and Albert Kahn (Fisher Building) are represented here. The winding streets and the spectacular landscape brings year around beauty to this prestigious city.
New for 2013 we added a 10k run.
Prizes for the top three runners with most creative zoo animal attire. Will be judged by Disney Channel actor, Mark Teich - A.N.T. Farm - Mr. Zimbaldi and I'm In the Band - Principal Jenkins. $24 per runner
Charlevoix Marathon
All Charlevoix Marathon events start and end in beautiful downtown Charlevoix, Michigan. Charlevoix is perched on an isthmus between Lake Michigan and Round Lake and is a northern Michigan community known as "Charlevoix the Beautiful" spreading out onto the shores of Lake Charlevoix. Nothing beats Charlevoix in terms of natural beauty. Plus, Charlevoix has the look and feel of an 18th Century resort community. The staging area for Charlevoix is the beautiful downtown area of Charlevoix on Bridge Street, one--half block east of the drawbridge. All courses will take you through fantastic residential tree lined neighborhoods. The course is primarily flat, fast, shaded most of the way, with a few inclines. The Marathon course has a few inclines and a hill at about the 7 mile marker. You can expect a very scenic race with some of the most breathtaking views available on any course. The Marathon and Half Marathon participants will run onto the bike trail. The Marathon is a Boston qualifying race. All races are certified and insured by USATF. The Charlevoix City Police, Charlevoix Sheriff's Department, Charlevoix Chamber and Emmett County Sherrif's Departments are very helpful, supportive and want you to enjoy a safe and enjoyable race.
Lions Of Michigan Eye Care, Do You? 5k/8k/Half Marathon
The Eye Care, Do you Charity Runs and Walk present an opportunity for you to support the efforts of Lions Clubs throughout Michigan and to help those in need. People across our entire state will benefit from your participation in one of the scheduled events, and you may choose to support another charity, school or community service organization by collecting sponsorships for your run or walk. The Lions of Michigan Foundation will split all sponsorships you collect equally with your designated charity or non-profit group.
Ann Arbor Firecracker 5k
Firecracker 5K Course Returns to the U-M Diag! Join us in downtown Ann Arbor on July 4th for the Firecracker 5K! The family friendly event begins with a 5K at 8:00 AM, followed by the 100 meter Kids Dash at 9:30 AM. Bring the whole crew out for the races, and then stay for the 21st Annual Ann Arbor Jaycees Fourth of July Parade beginning at 10:00 AM. This event benefits Project Healthy Schools!
Escape to Belle Isle
Join us for the 5th annual Escape to Belle Isle, Spirit of Detroit Challenge! Enter the 10K run, 5K run/walk or the Kids' Fun Run/Belle Isle Dash! All finishers of the 5K and 10K will receive cool new medals! Shirts available to all who register early. The Kids Fun Run is a 200 yard dash with t-shirts and trophies to all finishers! Mary Angela DiGiovanni's beautiful life was cut short 11 years ago due to a tragic car accident.The run is our families way to remember and honor Mary Angela's remarkable spirit. This will be our 11th Annual run and all proceeds will go to Angels' Place. We are blessed to hold the run this year at the high school Mary Angela attended - Mercy High School.
LIFE Walk 5k & 10k Run
LIFE Walk is in its 16th year of promoting public awareness about organ and tissue donation. The event will be held on the Beautiful Historic Belle Isle Park. We encourage all participants to sign the Organ, Tissue & Eye Donor Registry to officially record their decision to be an organ and tissue donor. July 27, 2013 will be a day filled with family, friends, food, and fun. We invite you to come join with donor families, recipients, and others who share the message that each one can extend life through organ and tissue donation…one step, one run at a time. We will see you there as one person, one family, one team, one organization - with one purpose to save lives.
UA Plumbers & Pipefitters 5k
Join us on August 12, 2013 for the UA Plumbers & Pipe Fitters 5K and Pub Crawl! In collaboration with the Ann Arbor Convention & Visitors Bureau, we are putting on a race and pub crawl to benefit charity. 100% of the profits will go to the Semper Fi Fund charity. Retired Major General Matt Caulfield and Retired Colonel Nick Marano, both of the U.S. Marines, will start and lead the race. The Semper Fi Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides crucial medical and financial assistance to U.S. servicemen and women wounded in Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as to their families. Many rely on the Semper Fi Fund in order to have family members nearby while they recuperate in the hospital, as well as to help them get back on their feet financially when they return home. Since 2004, the fund has issued more than 41,000 grants totaling more than $61 million to thousands of our heroes and their families.
Lauren and Theresa's Run
We are pleased to hold our Trail Run/Walk again this year at the Grand Traverse Commons, on the beautiful trails of the State Hospital in Traverse City. The event is family friendly, including a kids fun run, face painting, balloons and more. This event provides the perfect opportunity to support those little babies still fighting for their lives today and in the future, to celebrate those that have won the battle, and to honor those whom we have lost.
Dune Dash 5 Mile Race
Be one of the first to participate in a new 5 mile run on August 17, 2013 showcasing the new Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail located in "the most beautiful place in America." Starting and finishing at the Dune Climb in the Sleeping Bear Dunes, runners will race through miles of rolling sand dunes, Michigan lakeshore, and historic Glen Haven, experiencing what will soon be known as one of the most beautiful scenic runs in Michigan if not the country. Organized by the creators of the Zombie Run with support of Sleeping Bear Dunes and TART Trails, the Dune Dash will be a race you won't want to miss! Participation is limited to 500 runners so register soon! Note: Course will be on the new Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail, a paved flat surface.
Traverse City Triathlon
Dividing West and East Grand Traverse Bay, Old Mission Peninsula offers stunning scenery and a challenging landscape. Both olympic- and sprint-distance races start in the calm, clean waters of Bowers Harbor on West Grand Traverse Bay for a triangular loop swim.
Cadillac Festival of Races
2013 is the 41st year of the 10K, the longest continually running 10K in Michigan. This year we are continuing the “festival” atmosphere with vendors, beer garden and live music. Cadillac Festival of Races is a charitable organization and 100% of all proceeds are donated back to the community.

Crusader 5k and Madonna 1 Mile
Proceeds from the Crusader 5K and Madonna Mile will benefit the Madonna University Student Emergency Relief Fund. This fund is distributed to students who need financial support in emergency situations. Madonna University is committed to offering students a liberal arts education in the Catholic and Franciscan tradition. If students face a situation preventing them from attending classes, completing assignments, or earning their degree, this fund is used to assist them if we can.
Zaman 5k
Please join us for the Zaman 5k. Zaman International helps the many needs of humanity through time honored principles of social justice such as equity, equality, opportunity, education, economic relief and the continued enhancement and advancement of the human family.
Sleeping Bear Marathon
Join us for a scenic marathon and half marathon in the heart of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Both races start and finish in Empire, MI. The out-and-back marathon course will take runners by the "Dune Climb", past Little Glen Lake, and through the village of Glen Arbor with breathtaking views of the Manitou Islands and Sleeping Bear Dunes along the way. The half marathon will follow the same course as the marathon, turning around at the 6.55 mile mark. At the peak of fall color season, the tree-lined course will be one that both runners and spectators won't soon forget.
Cupcake 5k
The Cupcake 5K is for avid runners and those who want to have a good time while getting healthy. All participants will receive a custom cupcake medal, cupcake and all finisher’s names entered into prize drawing. The course is Flat and paved roads through town, short distance of dirt/grass in park.
TC Lighthouse Half Marathon
The TCTC Lighthouse Half is a very scenic course taking place at the peak of the fall color season with varied terrain. The start is at the Traverse City Old Mission Lighthouse where both Grand Traverse Bays meet. You will be greeted with the shores of West Grand Traverse Bay on your right hand side and to your left will be a myriad of fall colors. During the 3 mile trail section will be one of the best color tours you can take. At the peak of the course around 10 miles in you will want to look to the West and take in the fall colors with the West Grand Traverse Bay as a backdrop, you would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful fall scene.
Traverse City Zombie Run
How does it work? Each runner will register as either an Infected or a Survivor. The survivors - The survivors will be given a one-minute HEAD START at the beginning of the race and will want to be prepared to RUN FOR THEIR LIVES before the infected pursue their morning snack. The infected - Those infected are encouraged to disguise themselves as zombies, and survivors are encouraged to dress up as well... just not as zombies, obviously. Walkers - Walkers are welcome and will start after the runners and of course should dress up as zombies.
Ann Arbor Turkey Trot
Join us for a race through the beautiful Hudson Mills MetroPark. Do a 5K, 10K, or do BOTH for the Iron Turkey (and get a special shirt)!! Overall Winners for 5K and 10K --Shoes for overall female and male. $100 gift certificates to the top female and male finishers of the Iron Turkey! Age Group awards 5-deep in 5-year age groups for the 5K and 10K. Iron Turkey participants earn the coveted Iron Turkey shirt and medal! Kids can do the Kids Mile for a special finishers medal.

Farmland
The Farmland 5K European Style XC Challenge from EXCELerate! It’s Traverse City's non-paved, running event in the spirit of European style cross country at it's best! Enjoy the Challenge...the challenge of running on grass or snow, wooded dirt trails, and farmland running terrain. Just like in the original days of running, before paved roads and concrete sidewalks. You'll run on a dedicated cross country course over rolling farmland on the hills east of Traverse City.
